Conquering the Elements: Aquafur Drysuits in the Grand Canyon

Updated: Jan 1

At Aquafur, we take great pride in providing water enthusiasts with top-quality drysuits that enhance their outdoor experiences and ensure their safety. We were thrilled to hear about the recent expedition led by Kevin Lupton and Glenn Lindsley, who embarked on a 25-day adventure down the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon in January with a group of nine individuals they connected with through Facebook. Despite facing unexpected challenges, our Aquafur drysuits proved to be an indispensable asset to the group, enabling the team to overcome the elements and forge lasting bonds.

The trip down the Grand Canyon is no easy feat, and Kevin, Glenn, and their group were well aware of the potential hurdles they might face. This January, the water flows were low, intensifying the technicality and difficulty of the rapids throughout the canyon. However, they were not expecting the atmospheric weather that swept across California and unexpectedly reached them, bringing days of rain and temperatures with a high of 33 degrees Fahrenheit often colder at night.

Amidst the cold and challenging conditions, the Aquafur drysuits proved to be an invaluable asset for the team. Designed with utmost precision and durability, our drysuits provided the necessary insulation and protection against the freezing water and rain. These unexpected swims became learning opportunities rather than setbacks, as our drysuits allowed the team to stay dry, warm, and focused on the trip ahead.

One of the most remarkable aspects of Kevin and Glenn's journey was the connection they formed with their fellow adventurers. What began as a group of strangers brought together by social media quickly transformed into a tight-knit community, united by their shared passion for the Grand Canyon. As they navigated the challenging rapids and faced the elements head-on, our Aquafur drysuits served as a common thread that allowed a safer environment to bond together. Aquafur is proud to have played a role in facilitating this enriching exchange of knowledge and experience.

Kevin Lupton, Glenn Lindsley, and their group's Grand Canyon adventure was a testament to the spirit of the river and the resilience of human personalities. Aquafur is honored to have been a part of their journey, providing them with reliable and high-performance drysuits that helped them conquer the elements and forge unforgettable memories. We remain committed to equipping adventurers like Kevin, Glenn, and their team with the gear they need to push their limits, learn from one another, and create lifelong friendships.

So, whether it's navigating challenging rapids or exploring uncharted territories, remember that Aquafur drysuits are here to be your trusted companion, ensuring your safety and enhancing your outdoor experiences even in the harshest environments like the Grand Canyon. Embrace the unknown, connect with fellow adventurers, and create memories that will last a lifetime with Aquafur.

Hi Chet, Wow, I watched all of Glenn and Kevin's winter Grand Canyon videos. They make me want to start sleeping in my Aquafur drysuit just to feel safe.
